Yes, completely free. If that ever changes, existing accounts will be grandfathered in and only new sign-ups would be affected. The AI Express Entry feature can incur costs if you supply your own Anthropic API key, but nothing happens by accident; you have to explicitly set it up. The built-in trial budget is free.

You can split costs one-on-one using Buddies, or with a whole group using Projects. When you log an expense you set who paid upfront, who participated, and how the cost is divided (equal shares or custom percentages). Comaney works out the simplest way to settle everything. If three people owe each other in different directions, it calculates the minimum number of payments to clear it all. Connected users get a notification and must confirm receipt before the balance clears.
The dashboard shows your month at a glance: total income, total spending, what you've already paid, what's still outstanding, and your available balance (income minus everything paid and outstanding), so you always know what you can safely spend. A spending breakdown by category and tag shows where the money is going. You can rearrange and resize any card, pick from the built-in library, or build your own from scratch.
Yes. If your salary arrives on the 25th, set your financial month to run from the 25th to the 24th so income and spending always line up naturally. The dashboard and all totals follow your custom cycle automatically.
Yes. From your profile page you can download a full export as a ZIP archive containing CSV files: one each for expenses, scheduled expenses, categories, and tags. The files open in any spreadsheet app. A REST API is also available if you want to connect external tools or scripts.
Yes. In your account settings you can set any currency symbol or label you like: "$", "£", "¥", or even something like "WoW Gold". Comaney uses whatever you enter throughout the app.
No. You can use this instance without any setup. If you prefer to run Comaney on your own server for complete control over your data, it's available as a Docker container. The code is on GitHub.
